Hydro-Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited came into existence in 8th December, 2006 under the Companies Act 1956 amended in 2013 as a 100% State Government owned entity for harnessing huge potential of Hydro Power in Arunachal Pradesh.

HPDCAPL commissioned Sumbachu small hydro Project (3 MW) in 2021 at Zemithang, Tawang District which endeavors to generate at least 3000 MW through small and mini hydro power projects at various locations by 2030. The Corporation has been taking all efforts to provide power supply to every village in the state where off the power grid including border outpost in the near future.

HPDCAPL incorporated in 2007, the main objectives of the Corporation are : To Judiciously plan, promote, organize an integrated and efficient system of harnessing the vast naturally available Hydro, Wind, Gas & Solar Power potential of Arunachal Pradesh and to create necessary infrastructure by undertaking the business of Electrical Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution & sale of power in a phased manner.

Our Corporate Office is located at Park View Apartment, Lower Niti Vihar, Itanagar, the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh. HPDCAPL is equipped with construction and operations experience and our human resource is committed to harness the huge power potential of the State.
